Welcome to Day 6 of Book Blogger Challenge hosted by April at Good Books & Good Wine!
Describe how you shop for books.
We don't have many book shops where I live and the ones we do have are far away from my home and VERY expensive. So I usually buy books from the old book shops. They have good variety and at low prices so I, as a student, can afford them. We don't have libraries here either so they are my only option. Other than that I also buy ebooks sometimes. As to how I choose what to buy, I usually look for specific books. The ones my favorite reviewers have reviewed and liked and the ones that I think I would enjoy. I also sometimes pick up a random book and if the summary written on the back cover interests me, I buy it. That's how I read A Thousand Splendid Suns. :)
What about you? How do you shop for books?

no libraries? that's not cool. i think everyone should have a library near them. i like used book shops, too. they are cheaper and i also like the idea that i am saving resources and maybe sharing something that someone else enjoyed.
ReplyDeleteYeah, I wish we had libraries here.. but where I live, people don't read much. That is why they think I'm weird because I read.. I know, weird :/
DeleteAnd I agree.. it's like adopting a pet someone left at an animal shelter.. :)
Thanks for visiting and commenting! :D
First, I'm sorry if I'm flooding you with comments. Haha
ReplyDeleteAnyway, I also love secondhand bookstores too. I love how I can buy so many used books for a price of a new one. I don't mind tattered covers at all :)
Haha! No, I love comments! So THANK YOU so much for all the comments! :D
DeleteAnd I agree! I don't mind tattered covers either. :) And you get books at such a good price.
