Cover Talk: It's nice but I wish it matched the previous books.

My Thoughts: I was stoked when Meg announced there is going to be a new Mediator book! I've been a huge Mediator fan since I was a kid and these are the books that introduced me to YA. So I couldn't wait to get my hands on the new book! And I finally did! I must say, it did not disappoint! 

Writing: What can I say, it's by Meg Cabot. One of my all-time favorite authors. So obviously I loved it. It had the same feel and atmosphere of the previous books but there was also a more mature and adult tone to it and I loved that! I love how Meg can do comedy that makes me laugh out loud as well as tragedy that makes me bawl. The writing definitely lived up to the previous books!

Story: Again, it was a Mediator book so obviously the story was amazing with mystery and suspense and romance. There were many plot twists that I didn't see coming and the story was very gripping which left me wondering what would happen next. It followed the pattern of the previous books with having a ghost story line and a personal Suze & Jesse story line. The ghost story line hit a little too close to home and made me cry a lot. I felt like the Suze & Jesse story line ending was very anticlimactic especially considering the buildup to it but I still loved it!

Characters: It was so good to meet all my favorite characters again! Suze was just as badass and sassy as ever! Jesse was as swoony and amazing as ever! Paul was as annoying and evil as ever! It was nice to see them all grown up. I loved seeing how everyone's lives turned out! Since this was more adult Meg had the freedom of making it more real. So it was nice to see these characters deal with adult problems. 

Overall: I loved this book! It was just as amazing as the previous ones! And if you haven't read The Mediator series yet then what are you waiting for?! Go and read them and then come back here and fangirl with me! :D

Sunday Spotlight~The Mediator Series by Meg Cabot

The Mediator Series is one of my all-time favorite series. I've loved it for years and frequently reread my favorite scenes. I recently reread the whole series and here I am with a review!

Writing: I love Meg Cabot's writing! She's one of my favorite authors. I love how her writing is so easy to get into. I'm sucked into the stories she has created. It's like I'm right there with the characters going on these adventures. Her writing, especially in The Mediator Series, is very light. There's a lot of humor and sarcasm which is my favorite thing. Her books are a lot of fun to read. But there are also some serious topics discussed between the lines.

Story: I love how there's a different story in each book but all the books are connected trough Suze's story. This series would make such an awesome TV show with each book being a season. I love the individual ghost cases. It's like CSI but with ghosts! I also love Suze's individual story. The books are full of action and mystery and friendship and romance.

Characters: Meg Cabot writes such relatable and interesting characters! I loved all the characters in The Mediator Series! I became very attached to Suze. She's such a strong, amazing character! I love her witty, sarcastic humor and how she protects the people she loves. She's sassy and kickass and one of my favorite characters ever!

Jesse, oh Jesse! Not only is he the perfect book boyfriend, I love him as a character! He's smart and kind and so gentlemanly! He's seriously the most adorable puppy ever! My heart melted whenever he said "Querida"! His relationship with Suze was so cute! Not only the romance, but their friendship was amazing! Jesse was my first book boyfriend and to this day he holds the number one spot.

I remember really liking Paul the first time I read these books. This time around though my thoughts changed a lot. Paul was a jerk. He was selfish and manipulative and though I don't hate him, I don't love him either. I get why he's like that but it's his choices and actions. He could choose to be a better person but he doesn't. And I'm sorry but sexual assault of any degree is not right with me. Paul kinda lost any respect I had for him. Even as an evil mastermind and if you know me, you know how much I love evil masterminds.

Suze's brothers were so much fun to read! Mostly because I'm also a single sister of 2 brothers. And I could relate to a lot of stuff in that respect. I loved how Sleepy cared for her as a sister and the fights between Suze & Dopey were really funny! And don't get me started on Doc! He was the most adorable thing ever! He cared for Suze so much even though he was so young and it was seriously so adorable I can't even!!!

I really liked Suze's friends! They weren't just side characters, they had their own lives and stories as well. Suze's stepdad was really sweet and so was her mom. All the characters were really well-written and played their parts well in the story.

Overall: As I wrote before, The Mediator Series is one of my all-time favorite series. It's a perfect blend of comedy, romance, action, mystery without getting too serious. I highly recommend it to everyone!

My book boyfriend is....... Jesse (Hector) de Silva from The Mediator Series by Meg Cabot. Oh how I would love to have him as my boyfriend! Here's some info on my beau (well my beau in my dreams!):

(Well this is not a real image but I thought it was cute. And nobody in real life can capture the hotness of Jesse but I'll still try to find someone who looks kinda like him.)

Biography:

• Born in the early 19th century to a family of wealthy ranchers in California.
• Only male child in his family.
• Wanted to be a doctor but couldn't because of his responsibilities to his family. 
• Was supposed to marry his cousin, Maria de Silva, but discovered she was being unfaithful to him with a slave trader named Felix Diego.
• Was strangled in his sleep in a boarding house in Carmel.

Appearance and Personality:

• Jesse is the quintessential tall, dark and handsome man.
• He has long dark hair and tan skin.
• Has washboard abs. *sigh*
• Has a small scar on his eyebrow caused by a dog bite.
• Is noble and polite. (Just my type of guy <3)
• He has a strong set of morals, as evidenced by the fact he won't go further than kissing so he can protect Suze's virtue. (Awww!)
• He does have an explosive temper when provoked. When Paul insinuates that Suze slept with him, Jesse throws him down the stairs, through a glass door and attempts to drown him. (H.O.T!)
• He frequently mutters to himself in Spanish when he's annoyed or angry. (Which is totally adorable!)
• He calls Suze "Querida"  at times which means 'Sweetheart'. (Whenever he says this my heart does a flip-flop =P)

(Pierre Boulanger OK so he doesn't look that much like him but give me a break! It's hard to find a guy as hot as Jesse! =P)

New Header!!

Mediator Series as an animated/cartoon series?

I think that The Mediator series by Meg Cabot should be made into an animated/cartoon series instead of being made into a movie or TV series. I don't think that anyone can find the perfect actor to play Jesse. If they make an animated TV show, when they draw the characters at least they'll look exactly (or almost) like they did in the book. If they make a movie/TV show what if they pick the cast like they did for The Last Airbender (movie based of the animated TV series Avatar: The Last Airbender). We all know what a big disaster that was! The cast didn't even match the characters in the TV show! I would hate it if it happened to The Mediator series. So I think that they should just make an animated TV show. What do you guys think? Comment below. Do you agree or disagree with me? Plus here are some pictures relating to Mediator. Mediator Series by Meg Cabot

 I finished reading the mediator series about a week ago and I love them! I read a book review of the Mediator Series in a magazine and it seemed interesting so I decided to read the books. They are amazing! I love how Meg Cabot used humor and such in heavy situations and I like Suze's thoughts. 

For those who haven't read the books, here's the story: Susannah Simon is a normal teenage girl except that she can see and talk to ghosts. When she was a kid her father died and after many years her mother is remarrying. Now she has to move from New York City to Carmel, California with her new family which consists of her mother, her step-father Andy and her three step-brothers. In her new home she finds out that there's 150 year old ghost of a cute and totally hot guy named Jesse living in her bedroom. The books then follow her ghost adventures and how she falls in love with Jesse and then risks her life to save him.

Title: USA: Shadowland/UK: Love You to Death

I would love it if these book series would be adopted as TV series! I don't think a movie will work 'cause I don't think it will do the books justice. But I think a TV show would be perfect!
