My Rating: 9/10

My Thoughts: The was such a different and refreshing drama! Especially the romance. No stupid miscommunication, no disrespect, no unnecessary drama. The couple had real problems and they solved them like real, mature people. It sucks that this drama wasn't very popular and they had to cut down the episodes. But even after the episode cut it was really good and definitely became one of my favorites!

Story: Ex Girlfriend Club had a pretty unique story. It may seem typical but the way it played out was very different. It involved real-life problems but in an exaggerated way so it wasn't exactly a slice of life but the exaggeration made it interesting instead of unbelievable. I loved the conflicts and how our main characters overcame them. There was never a dull moment and the story was pretty interesting.

Actors/Characters: I loved all the different characters we got to see in this drama. Each girl had her own unique personality and quirks and the best part was that all of them were flawed, real characters. They had some good traits and some bad which made them real people and hence easy to sympathize with.

Romance: This was my favorite part of the drama. It was just so sweet and comfortable and real. It's the kind of relationship I dream of having. Myung Soo and Soo Jin were such good friends and so comfortable with each other. They loved each other in more than just a romantic way. They're definitely one of my all-time favorite drama couples!

Overall: I loved this drama and it really sucks not many people know about it. Highly recommended if you're in the mood of a light rom-com with good solid characters, a real romance and a interesting  story.

My TV Year In Review

All the TV shows I follow have finished airing their latest seasons so I thought I'd do a seasons' end review for them all.

Reign (Season 3)

This season started out so bad but improved so much! It was much better than the last season. I'm so glad they turned the romance down a notch and increased the politics because that's what I came here for! I hated Elizabeth at first but she grew on me. I had started hating the weak Mary but finally the writers did her some justice by the end and made her the strong and fierce Mary I knew and loved! I enjoyed the political drama so much and I loved how Catherine was at the heart of it. This season saw the departure of many of my beloved characters. They will be missed. :'( I just hope they don't kill off more of my favorite characters. Like Leith. And give Bash a bigger role next season please! He's an amazing character and deserves his own story-line. I think it's been a long time coming and I'm glad he was getting more scenes by the end of this season so I hope next season is bigger for him. I'm looking forward to the rivarly between Mary & Elizabeth next season and I can't wait to see how Narcisse will take his revenge on Elizabeth!

Supernatural (Season 11)

What was this season?! We had God's sister, and God, and what not and it was so boring! I don't even remember most of the season TBH. I remember struggling through each episode hoping it would be interesting. But the Darkness story-line was just not for me. The only episodes I enjoyed were the filler case episodes. Lucifer Cas isn't Cas. I want Cas! And can you make Destiel happen already?! Character wise they were all the same. I loved Sam & Dean & Crowley. I enjoyed Rowena at first but then got tired of her. Beloved character deaths :'( It's just the story I had a problem with. I hope next season is better.

The Vampire Diaries (Season 7)

It's only the seventh season? I feel like it's been a lifetime since this show used to actually be good. Now it's just absurd stories trying to pull through from one season to the other. I mean what even was this season?! During most of the episodes I sat there laughing at the absurdity and swooning over Ian's hotness. Damon was the only good thing on the show. But his character's getting ruined too. So I'd say Ian's looks (& those gorgeous eyes) are the only good thing on the show. I feel like Paul's so tired of the show that he doesn't even bother changing his facial expressions. He has the same face in every scene! Bored. The story was all over the place and had so many plot holes! I hated most of the new characters. The character deaths didn't even bother me TBH. Just let Matt die please. I feel sorry for the poor guy. I hate how Bonnie gets treated on the show. I hate how Damon is with everyone and gets away with it too. This show needs to end. I heard the next season was the last one. Lets hope so.

The 100 (Season 3)

Why show?!!! Why you do this to me?!!! Lincoln was my favorite character ever! I loved him and they killed him and now my heart is broken </3 I didn't like this season much compared to the previous seasons. Not only because of the pointless deaths but I didn't like the overall story. It was interesting and very engaging but I felt like something was missing. I've started hating Jasper. If anyone had to be killed then it should've been him. I loved the rest my squad though <3 I've also come to really like Murphy. I really hope they don't kill off any of my faves next season. I feel next season will be a hard one. I wish my babies would get a break.

Shadowhunters (Season 1)

I didn't like the first book much and I really didn't like the movie but I was still excited for the show and was pleasantly surprised by how good it was! Sure the acting and editing was sort of sloppy at first but I think over the season they improved A LOT! This was my favorite show this season. They changed up the story a lot and I'm glad because I think they made it better. I LOVED the characters, especially Izzy & Alec. Malec be my new favorite OTP :') I got so attached to all of them! And that season finale!!! I can't wait for the next season and the awesomeness it would bring!

Once Upon A Time (Season 5)

This was the Dark Swan & Hades season, right? Or was Dark Swan last season? I do remember Hades being there this season... See my problem? This used to be my favorite show. This season was so boring though. There were good parts but overall it was meh. Especially compared to the previous seasons. I don't have much to say about it because I don't really remember much. Except Hercules being such a cutie! I wish they would've kept him for more than one episode.

Well this was my TV year in review! What shows did you watch this season? Any good recs? And did you watch any of these seasons? If yes then I'd love to hear your thoughts about them!

Fangirling Over Doctors (Spoiler Free)

Not real doctors (not that they aren't amazing as well) but I'm talking about the new kdrama (Korean drama) Doctors (a.k.a. Doctor Crush) which has won the hearts of many as soon as it started airing. Yes, that new Park Shin Hye drama that everyone, including me, was skeptical about. Well I've kinda fallen in love with it. Okay not kinda, I'm completely fallen head over heels in love with it! And I'm here to fangirl over it today!

This drama! THIS DRAMA! Is ruining my life! It's so so good! 4 episodes have aired to date and it has made me laugh, cry, hate, love and feel all kinds of emotions! And that too from the first episode! It was love at first sight with this drama.

You know how Park Shin Hye has always played that poor, weak girl in need of prince charming? Well she is that girl no more! In Doctors she plays a tough cookie who isn't afraid to kick some butt! And boy can she kick! I had no idea Park Shin Hye would be this good a fighter! Them high kicks girl! The fighting scenes were easily my favorite part! And though I haven't watched Pinocchio (I know! I'm so bad! I can't count the times this drama has been recommended to me! Chill, I'm getting to it!) I must say Park Shin Hye's acting has improved A LOT! Let's hope her kissing has too!

I have never seen nor heard of Kim Rae Won before but *heart eyes*. I love nice guys! I'm so tired of all the bad boys in dramas! So I love me some nice guy who smiles and cares and is totally adorbs! And Hong Ji Hong (the character played by Kim Rae Won) is all that and more! He's a doctor turned high school teacher and I can totally see why so many girls have a crush on him! Not only is he really nice and caring but is an upstanding citizen and a great doctor! Me being a medstudent, I was so totally impressed by that scene in which he saves the pregnant lady. Plus he is pretty straightforward so (I hope) no drama! You know, of the relationship kind. At least not from him.

I was kind of worried about the age gap. Though the couples in almost all the dramas I've seen with a huge age gap have been amazing (Secret Love Affair, Prime Minister & I), I'm always worried about the chemistry. Well nobody need worry with Doctors because the chemistry between Park Shin Hye & Kim Rae Won is so good! They just click together so well! I started shipping them from the very first kick! Definitely going into my favorite OTPs list!

The story so far has been so amazing! It's very rare that I develop such a deep bond with characters but I did with this drama. Their joy is my joy, their pain is my pain. I can't count the times this drama has made me cry, be it happy tears or sad. All them feels!

I also love the medical aspect of it. It's weird how happy I got when I saw a copy of KLM's Clinically Oriented Anatomy in one of the scenes. I was like I read that book! That's where I study anatomy from! I know, I'm pathetic. But even though sometimes what they show is exaggerated, I do love watching a drama about a profession I'm pursuing.

The characters have been written so well! The villains aren't bad just for the sake of it. I can totally understand how and why they turned out that way. Even the side characters have important roles to play in the story. And some of them are such cute bunnies I can't even! My favorite side character till now would be Hye Jeong's grandmother! This lady is so amazing!! I can't go on or I'll start crying again but I just love her!!

If you haven't started watching this drama yet then I hope I persuaded you into doing so because this drama is amazing and you're missing out on a lot if you're not watching it. And if you are then let me know what you think about it in the comments below!!

Mini Drama Reviews

She Was Pretty (Korean)

My Rating: 8/10
My Thoughts: I honestly don't know if I liked this drama or not. I gave it an 8 which is a good rating and I do remember enjoying most of it but even though I finished it a couple of days ago I don't really remember much of it. It wasn't memorable and didn't leave much of an impact. And I had to force myself to watch the last couple of episodes because I got bored watching it. The acting was average. It wasn't that good but it wasn't that bad either. Hwang Jung Eum was tolerable but sometimes she got super annoying. She overacts a lot. Park Seo Joon was okay. I liked him better in Witch's Romance. A lot of people loved Siwon and while I did like him and his character too, he got a bit annoying sometimes as well. Go Joon Hee was the only person I liked and who's performance I enjoyed. The romance was okay, nothing special. I'm tired of the childhood friends reunite plot. I loved the friendship between Hye Jin & Ha Ri! I really liked the side characters and their stories! I know I should probably rate this lower but I feel like it deserves an 8.

I Wanna Be A Superstar (Thai)

My Rating: 8.5/10
My Thoughts: I really enjoyed this drama despite all it's flaws. Thai dramas really get the cute & cuddly right! First Full House, then Kiss Me and now this, all three are full of adorable OTP scenes that make me squeal! The story was okay. A little absurd at times, has many flaws but it was definitely interesting and I wasn't bored. The acting was okay too. I really liked Gypso and her character. Her character wasn't annoying as many people say. I actually really liked her except at the end when she was being really stupid. I liked Push's character too before he became a selfish idiot towards the end. I gotta say though, the characters weren't good or bad. Each had a mix of both like real people do. For example MeeDee was sweet but he couldn't take the hint. May wasn't all that bad and sometimes she was super adorable but she was also selfish. Same with the "evil" characters. All had good and bad in them. The best person though was Win's brain Tom. Win was a jerk to him but I love how Tom stood up for himself. Plus Tom was the only reasoning voice. He was Win's brain because Win was too stupid to think correctly himself. Overall I really enjoyed this drama!

Healer (Korean)

My Rating: 10/10
My Thoughts: Wow! Just... wow! I mean... I never expected this when I started Healer. I had heard a lot of good stuff about it and I had great expectations but I never thought it would be this good. Healer is like in a league of it's own! Amazing, well-written story. It was so interesting throughout and kept me guessing. I loved the mystery and it was all so cool! Awesome acting! All of the cast was seriously so good! Ji Chang Wook is love! Not only is he super hot but he's also super talented and he did an awesome job! Now just please go play a creepy, hot serial killer because I would love to see you in that kind of a role! I also loved his character! He was so adorable and cool and hot and adorable!! I loved Park Min Young. I've always liked her as an actress and she didn't disappoint here as well. And Young Shin was so cute! All the characters were really well-written. I loved Yoo Ji Tae. This was my first time watching him and I gotta say I'm impressed! The rest of the cast was amazing too, especially Kim Mi Kyung as hacker Ahjumma (she is my new role-model) and Jeong Gyoo Soo as the creepy assistant. I also really liked the music! The soundtrack is so good! All of the songs, including the instrumentals, are great! This drama was seriously amazing! It made me laugh, it made me cry and it was a perfect blend of romance, action, mystery, suspense and comedy. Plus the OTP is beyond adorable so you can't help but ship it and the OTP scenes will make you melt!

Trailer:

My Rating: 10/10

My Thoughts: Umm.. wow! I was not expecting this drama to be this good! I picked it at random out of the currently airing dramas because I wanted to watch something light and funny and this seemed right up my alley. It was all those things but it was also so much more!

Story: The story was full of mystery and suspense and love and emotions and loads of cuteness! I loved every moment of it! The romance played out so well! But more about that later. The mystery of Soon Ae's death and creepy officer Choi was so good! There were scenes during which I actually got goosebumps! The drama played the supernatural element really well and it blended with everything else. From start to finish this drama was perfectly constructed, with great consistency. Despite the ending being a typical drama ending, it was done right for a change. It left me satisfied and even though I miss these characters, I'm very happy with how the drama ended.

Actors/Characters: I loved the cast! Such talented actors, all of them! And deep, well-written characters. Na Bong Sun was my favorite character! She was so adorable! And I saw so much of myself in her! I connected with her a lot and most of the time I just wanted to give her a huge hug! Park Bo Young did a mind blowing job, playing Na Bong Sun and Shin Soon Ae. You could differentiate between the two girls with only her demeanor. She was so good with both characters, both of which are complete opposites. This girl deserves an award!

Look at my adorable puppy!

Is it just me or does Jo Jung Suk has a Gong Yoo vibe? He's just as gorgeous and just as amazing an actor. I mean everyone in this drama is an amazing actor! And Jo Jung Suk wasn't any different. I loved Kang Seon Woo! He was somewhere between a bad boy and good guy. He was sweet and adorable and had depth as a character. Loved him!

I love Kim Seul Gi! I love the quirky character she plays so well! And she was perfect as Shin Soon Ae. She made me laugh, she made me cry. It was just so much fun to watch her onscreen. Her performance was really great!

Onto my second favorite character, Choi Sung Jae. Hey, don't look at me like that! I have a thing for psycho characters. :P But honestly though, how amazing was Im Joo Hwan's acting? Makes me want to check out more of his dramas. One second he is the nicest person you have ever seen and the next he has this sinister, murderous glint in his eyes and the look on his face will haunt your nightmares. No but seriously, I loved his character! I felt sorry for him but he was also so scary! A very interesting character.

Yaay for ahjumma friendships! I seriously loved Seobingo and Seon Woo's mother! They reminded me of the only thing I loved in The Heirs (other than the Chan Young/Bo Na couple). They were so adorable and funny, together and separately. So were all the people who worked in Seon Woo's restaurant. They were such a goofy, endearing group! I also loved Seon Woo's sister and her story was heartbreaking! I loved how pure and innocent she was. And my heart broke for Soon Ae's father. Her brother was so cute!

Romance: Na Bong Sun and Kang Seon Woo are ssooo adorable together!!!! Like I can't even!!! Their cuteness had me smiling like a lovesick fool! I seriously loved the two of them together! And even though I liked Soon Ae, I was team Bong Sun from the start. The love triangle was very interesting and I loved how it played out.

Overall: I loved this drama to bits and pieces and if you haven't seen it already then what are you waiting for?! With romance, mystery, great acting and amazing story and a pinch of scary this drama will make you fall in love with its awesomeness!

Mini Reviews

I read and watched a couple of stuff but wasn't able to write reviews for them. I can't write full length reviews now but I thought I'd share some of my thoughts about them.

BOOKS

This was a nice book. I didn't love it as much as others did but I did enjoy it. Cath was very relatable and I loved Levi! This book was highly character driven so the plot took a backseat. It took me some getting used to but I did enjoy it. An 8/10

This was my first historical romance and I didn't like it much. Maybe historical romances aren't my thing... I read this along with a friend and she didn't enjoy it much either. I think my problem with this book was the main character. I didn't really like Callie, she irritated me. I didn't like Ralston much either. This was a 6/10 for me.

I was blown away by this book! It was that good! I wasn't really expecting much but seriously I really loved this book! I think the best part was the writing. It was engaging and beautiful. I loved the story! The suspense, the romance, the angst. I really loved Will! Layken kind of frustrated me sometimes but I also understood her. I really liked all the secondary characters. All in all, I really enjoyed this book! A 9.5/10 from me.

Have I ever mentioned how much I love Agatha Christie? I don't think I have. I love murder mysteries like crazy! I've been reading and watching them since I was kid, courtesy of my mom. Well since Agatha Christie is the queen of crime, naturally I've read a lot of her books. I can't believe it took so long for me to read And Then There Were None! This book is pure genius! I loved every minute of it! 10/10!

DRAMAS

After trying to finish this drama for months I dropped it at episode 10. It was just so boring and repetitive, I couldn't go on. This drama would've been good if things would've happened a little faster. They were dragging it too much. Though I did like the actors and characters...

This drama had the best characterization I have ever seen! It was written really well! It had a great cast and awesome music! I gave it an 8/10. I didn't really like the main couple much, I felt like they didn't have that much chemistry. But I loved everyone else! This drama had flawed, real characters and a great story! And I loved the friendship between the four men!

This was my first Japanese drama and it was so good! It was full of suspense and action and I loved every minute of it! It got a bit slow towards the end but it wasn't that bad. I really enjoyed this drama!  It had a great cast and awesome story! I gave it an 8/10 because the ending didn't leave my satisfied. But if you like futuristic, suspenseful dramas then I highly recommend Mirai Nikki!

This drama was so cute and different! The most amazing part of this drama was that the leads had such a healthy relationship! They communicated with each other which helped end the misunderstandings so much. You hardly ever see that in other dramas. This drama was very realistic. I loved Shan Shan! She was adorable and naive but not stupid. I really loved how she changed and grew. This was my first Chinese drama and I'm highly impressed. I gave it a 9/10. It got a bit slow for me in the middle but it was enjoyable nonetheless.

I went into this drama without any expectations. I was expecting a lighthearted comedy like the Korean variety shows. What I got was a funny but heartfelt drama with life lessons. I really enjoyed it a lot! I was highly impressed with the cast considering most of them are idols. All the characters were really well-written and well-executed. Ahjussi was so funny!! I loved Bang In! My favorite character was Do Joon. I really enjoyed this time with all these amazing characters. I never thought I'd get so attached to them. This drama gets a 9/10 because while everything was really good, Jae Hwan and Do Hee could've done a better job.

This drama was nothing like I've ever seen before and nothing like I expected. At first it was wacky and weird but addicting. Then it got so serious and sad. But I could never guess what would happen next. Everything was so unexpected. This drama really focused on human's actions and the reasons for those actions. It wasn't exactly psychological but in some ways it was. It showed different kinds of love, different kinds of characters. It was a very different and interesting drama and I really enjoyed it a lot. Plus it had beautiful cinematography. I rated it 9/10.

Drama Review~Witch's Romance (Korean)

Title: Witch's Romance, A Witch's Love
Writer: Lee Sun Jung, Ban Ki Ri
Director: Lee Jung Hyo
Producer: Group 8
Main Cast: Uhm Jung Hwa as Ban Ji Yeon, Park Seo Joon as Yoon Dong Ha, Han Jae Suk as Noh Shi Hoon, Jung Yeon Joo as Jung Eun Chae
Genre: Romantic Comedy
Original Run: April 14, 2014 - June 10, 2014
Duration: 60 min.
Original Channel: tvN
No. of Episodes: 16
Language: Korean
Links: MDL ~ Wikipedia ~ Viki ~ Drama Site

Synopsis: Ban Ji Yeon is a single 39 year-old woman. She works as a reporter and is very enthusiastic about her work. So much so that she is often called a “witch” at work. She doesn't believe in true love, because of her past experience when her boyfriend disappeared prior to their wedding.
Yoon Dong Ha is 25 year-old young man who runs a small errand center with his friend. He looks like a happy guy, but he lost his girlfriend by an accident. Sparks fly when Ji Yeon and Dong Ha meet, and despite the age difference, they find a lot in common with each other, including their scarred hearts.

My Rating: 10/10

My Thoughts: I loved this drama! It was different and amazing! Greatly executed, it had talented actors, a good story and amazing music. It was very enjoyable.

Story: I don't usually like noona romances but this one was daebak! It had a great story though I did not like the second male lead part. That was boring and made no sense. But the rest of it was amazing! It didn't have any twists and turns or huge birth secrets. There was a mystery around the leads' past but it was simple and believable and wasn't too heavy. The romance was epic and the lead couple had amazing chemistry! There was plenty comedy and cute stuff and I enjoyed the side stories as well, like Ban Ji Yeon's mother's.

Actors/Characters: In my opinion, the characters of this drama were very well-written. All had depth and seemed real. All except No Shi Hoon. He was cardboard character who had no personality. But more about that later. I'll start with Ban Ji Yeon. I've seen Uhm Jung Hwa in a couple of movies and I've liked her but I really enjoyed her performance in this drama! She was great in the funny as well as the emotional scenes and I felt like she captured the character really well. I liked how throughout the drama Ban Ji Yeon acted like an adult and acted her age. It was adorable how, when she fell in love, she giggled like a teenage girl. All in all, I really enjoyed her character.

I was very impressed with Park Seo Joon! I haven't seen him in anything else so I wasn't really expecting anything but I was very impressed with his acting and his portrayal of the character. He has very good facial expressions and usually his face shows his feelings. Also, he makes the most adorable faces (see above gif)! Yoon Dong Ha was a nice, sweet guy and exactly the kind of guy I would want! I loved him! He was adorable and perfect! He was sweet and caring and just adorable!

No Shi Hoon, as I mentioned, was a very uninteresting character. He had no personality or soul and the reason behind his actions was never revealed. In fact his character wasn't developed at all. Han Jae Suk didn't appear that much that I could say anything about his acting. He was okay I guess.

I very much enjoyed all the side characters in this drama. I loved Ji Yeon's mother! Her relationship with her mother was very much like my own with my mother so that was very sweet. And I really liked her romance with Ji Yeon's boss. I loved Dong Ha's roommate! He was funny and adorable and such a sweetheart! And his romance with Eun Chae was really cute! Ji Yeon's friend and her husband were funny and cute and just perfect! And I really enjoyed all the office workers, especially Team Leader Byun who's character was written really well.

Overall: I really enjoyed this drama. It was different and really good and I loved the romance and comedy.
