Last Post?

This year was such a whirlwind and I realized that with med-school I can't keep up with blogging. So I won't be posting anymore. I might drop by to write a review or two when I'm in the mood and need to let my feelings out. But generally consider this blog closed. I'll leave it up for anyone who wants to read the previous posts. My time here in the blogosphere was the best and I'll really miss this community. But life gets in the way and priorities have to change. Thank you to everyone, my readers, the authors, the book lovers, for making this experience so amazing! Maybe I'll return some day if I have more time to spare. So good bye for now! Good luck and take care!

I'm back!

I haven't posted at all since medschool started. Not because I didn't have time. Well that's one of the reasons. But also because I didn't feel like it. I didn't feel like blogging or reading or writing or watching any of my favorite shows. It was like with medschool this part of my life ended. And I wasn't exactly sad. I went out with friends, I actually enjoyed studying, and the free time I got I made sure to catch up on my sleep. But I did miss this part of me. I missed immersing myself in a book. I missed being excited about writing. I missed watching all my favorite shows. And yet I didn't feel like doing anything about it.

Now that summer vacation rolled around I have had a chance to reconnect with my old self. I've started writing again which feels so amazing! I've been devouring book after book. I have yet to catch up on my shows but I'm getting there. And I've decided to start blogging again. I'll be posting reviews again and some other more personal stuff like my first year as a medstudent. So stay tuned! And I hope I'm able to continue this when school starts again...

Hey folks! I hope you all are doing well! I'm sorry for the lack of updates. I've been studying for the MCAT which, despite my hard work, didn't go that well. So now I'm busy studying for other university entry tests.

I don't have much time for the blog, I don't think I'll ever have. I've thought of ending it but I don't think I can do that. So I'm going to leave it up and update from time to time. Write reviews & stuff occasionally.

Thank you all for following me and reading my posts! I'll try to update as much as I can.

I'm back!

Hello world! It's been 2 months since I last posted... God, how I've missed this blog! My exams ended yesterday and now I'm free!!!

Well not as free as I'd like to be... My MCAT classes will start soon and I still have practical exams at the end of June. But I'm finally done with these exams and I feel so relieved!

I'll start posting reviews and such from tomorrow, maybe today. I can't wait to get back to reading and watching dramas! :D

EXAMS OVER!!! (This post contains weird nonsense so read at your own risk!)

Finally the exams are over and I'm done with my first year of college! I'm not gonna lie, it has been HARD! But I made it out! And I'm pretty sure I did good on the exams too...

Now three months of FFFUUUNNNN!! Well I do have some classes but I won't be as busy as I would be in September so

I've never waited for summer vacation so eagerly as much as I waited for this one! I've never been this excited about summer vacation either! I'm so excited that even though I haven't slept in almost 24 hours (I had an exam today so I studied all night because I can't sleep before an exam) I'm not sleepy at all! I feel like singing and dancing and

I have so much to do! Firstly I'm going to clean my room because it is a mess! Then I'm going to watch all the TV show & drama episodes I missed. There are a lot of shows whose finales have aired but I couldn't watch them because of the exams. So I'm going to do that...

I also have so many books I need/want to read! I'm halfway through Game of Thrones and loving it! I received A is for Abstinence (by Kelly Oram) ARC and I cannot wait to read it!!!! I've planned that I'm going to read all the review books this summer so I can start taking review requests again. (Wish me luck!)

I have a lot of blog posts planned as well. I have a couple of reviews I need to write but I also planned many discussion posts and I can't wait to get started on them!

So much to do! It feels so good to be back! Well I'm going to go and try to get some sleep. See you soon!

1. I'm a hopeless romantic.
2. I have trouble trusting people.
3. I keep a journal and I title my entries.
4. I don't like to plan ahead, because things almost never go as I plan. I'm a 'I'll cross that bridge when I get to it' kind of person.

Ans: I'm Hira.... Honestly, I'm really bad at about mes..... So I'm not sure how to answer this =/

2. What's something a lot of people do that you disagree with?

Ans: I don't like it when people back bite and I notice that a lot of people do it. It's so wrong....

3. What's something no one can take away from you?

Ans: My belief and trust in God.

4. What's a common misconception that people have about you?

Ans: That I'm bad at keeping secrets and I can't be trusted. I don't know why people get this impression of me 'cause honestly I'm very good at keeping secrets and I'm more trustworthy than most people..

5. Your favorite quote?

Ans: Yes, I do. I've learnt that you get into much more trouble if you lie and honesty can solve a lot of problems. But I'm not saying that you should tell everyone everything. I think it'd be better to say "I'm not comfortable sharing that with you." rather than making up a lie.

Ans: Honest, hard-working & lazy.

8. Which dead author would you want to be haunted by?

Ans: Oh that's a hard one...... Can I skip? I'm skipping this question, sorry! I'd rather be haunted by a book character (namely Jesse) than an author. =P

9. What do you want to be known for?

Ans: I want to be known for my honesty and personality. I want to be known as a good friend and a good person.

10. What do you do when nothing else seems to make you happy?

Ans: Lie on my bed, hug my pillow tight and cry myself to sleep. Or talk to God, knowing that He's listening and He'll help me.

11.  Who do you think is the worst writer?

Ans: Well it's kinda mean I guess but out of all the authors I've read, I disliked Judy Blume's work the most. I've tried two of her novels and they've disappointed me every time. No more Blume for me.

Assessments over!! =D

Today was my last assessment! =D Yaay! I'm free! Which means.......... I have more reading time!! But I still have the result to wait for.............. And I don't think that'll be pretty =/

I saw TVD, TSC, R.L. Stine's The Haunted Hour and Supernatural today! In celebration of me assessments finally ending. You have no idea how long these two weeks have been!! The Haunted Hour is pretty scary! Especially the first episode!

I'm not able to read Peer-e-Kamil so I'm just going to drop it. I'm starting Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. Maybe I'll read Peer-e-Kamil after that.......

I have to catch up on my sleep so I'm gonna go get some zzzz....... Take care & stay well read!

I'm in the council!!

OMG!! I'm in the school council!!!!!!!!!! I was ssooo not expecting this!! I cannot believe this!! Eeeepp!! I'm so happy!! =D I'm the Vice President of the Environment Club! And I have such an awesome President and General Secretary!

When they were announcing the new council, and they were going to announce the Vice President of Environment Club, I was like, "There is no way I'm it. =/" And then they announced my name and my mouth dropp=ed. I was like, "Really?? Me?? Are you kidding?? Me!!" And then I made it up to the stage with a BIG smile on my face and my mind totally blank.......or maybe it was running so fast that I couldn't make anything out. And then for the next hour or so I absorbed it all in........what had happened..........how did it happened..........OMG I'm really actually in the council!! And the best part is that this year the student council in-charge are two of my favorite teachers!! Gosh how lucky am I?!!!

Tomorrow is my English assessment but it's all unseen so I don't have to study anything for it. All this week I've been getting only 4-5 hours of sleep =/ Have been studying a lot! Yes. I admit it! I'm a nerd. But I'm not the boring kind of nerd =) I'm the cool kind! =P

Tonight is TVD night!! Yaay!! =D Though I wouldn't be able to watch it until tomorrow......but still, Yaay! =D Speaking of TVD I found some really awesome 'cartoon' TVD pics! Take a look below:

School on Saturdays + Monthly Assessments = no reading time =/

This sucks! To make up for the so-called 'dengue holidays' my school will be open on Saturdays too. And on top of that my monthly assessments are starting from Monday. Which mean no reading time! =( And it totally sucks!

Well currently I'm reading Peer-e-Kamil which is a novel in Urdu by Umaira Ahmed. You see, I'm from Pakistan and my native language is Urdu. But usually I read English novels. A lot of people recommended this book to me and my best friend fell so in love with this book that she kind of forced me to read it. I think I'm going to review the book on this blog so I won't say anything about it as yet. I've only gotten through a few pages. The thing is that this book is very long (525 pages) and I hardly get time to read, what with the school work and all. Plus I'm not so fond of Urdu novels so it's pretty hard for me to read it. But I surely will finish it soon after my assessments and then I'll review it for my Urdu readers.

While I'm in the mood of writing (read: talking) today I'll tell you about my school. Particularly about me trying out for the student council and failing bad! At our school we have different houses (like there were in Harry Potter). I'm in the Topaz House. This year I tried out for the vice-president of my house. And guess what.....they kicked me out only after the interview. I didn't even get to make a speech! I guess I'm better at writing than I am at talking. So after I was kicked out of that I tried out for the vice-president of Environment Club. We also have different clubs and societies at our school. I had the interview today and results will be announced on Monday. I don't think I did that well in the interview =/ Well lets see..............

Did anyone watch last night's episode of Vampire Diaries?? Totally EPIC right? I love Delena <3 (as I've mentioned before many times) And last night's episode had such a cute Delena moment at the end! The episode was really a shocker! If you haven't seen it yet, then what are you waiting for?! Totally awesome show and a very awesome episode! I won't spill any spoilers for those of you who haven't seen it yet. Although I will say, here's my favorite scene from last night's episode The Reckoning:

I just saw Pride and Prejudice a few minutes ago. Loved it! A really awesome movie! I thought I wouldn't like Mr Darcy but I loved him! I'm really looking forward to reading the book!

And Keira Knightly was pretty awesome too!

And I've realized that I use the word 'awesome' a lot! Let me see......I've used it........4 times in this post. I guess that's not a lot. Not for this post at least. But I do say awesome a lot! Whenever I have to describe something I like, I say awesome =P
